Interior design and partial refurbishment of a newly built villa in Colmenar Viejo
In this project, located in the new area of Colmenar Viejo, we carried out a partial refurbishment and complete interior design with a clear objective: to create a warmer, more balanced home with carefully designed lighting that would enhance each space.
The main floor is conceived as a fluid space where living room, dining room and staircase merge together through the same palette of materials and tones. Natural woods, soft fabrics and Her Lighting lighting create an enveloping and welcoming atmosphere, maintaining visual coherence with the existing kitchen finishes.
In the living room, the Serjac sofa by Atemporal and the Arva Lounge armchair by KFF invite you to relax, accompanied by the matching Gau side tables with Bost backs by Treku and a suspended TV cabinet in natural oak by Ciurans, which reinforces the visual lightness. The lighting design was key: minimalist recessed spotlights, wall washers and indirect LED strips by Her Lighting work together to define zones, accentuate textures and enhance the overall warmth.
The dining room, presided over by the Master table by Devina Nais in oak and the Paulina chairs by Casual Solutions in a mustard tone, is illuminated by a set of Pleat Box luminaires by Marset that add character and a sculptural touch. This undoubtedly made the whole living room-kitchen and dining room space a harmonious whole.
The staircase became the star of the house, where light and wood are the protagonists and made it become a real piece of design. Part of the wall on the first and first floors was removed to integrate a vertical pallet in the same Ciurans natural oak, which provides rhythm and transparency between floors.
The lighting, again by Her Lighting, makes all the difference: a recessed LED strip under the handrail bathes the wall in a warm, continuous light, while small points of light embedded in the steps reinforce safety and create an almost scenographic ambience in the evening.
In this house, lighting is the axis of the design. Each point of light is designed to generate atmospheres, highlight materials and accompany the architecture without imposing itself.
The result is a harmonious, contemporary and soulful home, where natural and artificial light combine to create a permanent sense of well-being.
