In the field of interior design, every project represents an exciting challenge, an opportunity to merge the aesthetics and functionality of a space. Recently, our interior design studio embarked on a comprehensive refurbishment of a living/dining room that exemplifies the beauty of transforming and harmonising key elements.
One of the highlights of this renovation was the creation of a false ceiling. This element not only adds a touch of sophistication, but also serves as the perfect canvas for the installation of indirect lighting. The impressive 'Black Foster' spotlights bring soft, diffused illumination to the entire space. In addition, the introduction of LED lighting around the room was a dream come true. The versatility of these LEDs allows the intensity to be adjusted to suit the desired ambience. To add the finishing touch to this wonderful lighting, Olev's 'Beam Stick' pendant lights were incorporated.
As for the furniture, the choice of the "Moving" sofa by Sofactual, combined with the elegant "Paris" armchairs by Doos, in the same fabric, proved to be a total success. This L-shaped composition creates a cosy and attractive space that invites relaxation. The coffee tables, model "Gau" by Treku, add a distinctive design element by incorporating varying heights, textures and sizes.
The need for storage was addressed in an elegant and functional way. Metal shelving from DFM was chosen and perfectly complemented by a bespoke Ciurans composition, crafted in walnut and stone grey. This approach not only unified the colour of the walls, but also provided an ideal space for the impressive Irsap radiator. The Ciurans composition includes LED illuminated tempered glass shelves, drawers and doors for storage, and a central panel housing a beautiful Panero wood insert, along with a suspended television.
In the dining area, versatility was sought for special occasions, such as family gatherings. The choice of Ramiro Tarazona's "Voila" table, which extends to 2 metres in length, proved to be perfect. When not in use as a dining table, it transforms into an elegant sideboard. This choice is complemented by Sovet's fantastic and original mirrors.
Ultimately, this comprehensive refurbishment has achieved an impressive balance between innovative lighting, carefully selected furnishings and bespoke design. The result is a living/dining room that is both functional and aesthetically stunning, a true testament to the magic of interior design.
