This integral reform project in Carabanchel starts from a house with a compartmentalised distribution, outdated finishes and a clear lack of natural light. The aim was to gain amplitude, improve functionality and unify the whole house under a warm, contemporary and coherent aesthetic.
The intervention included the elimination of walls, the unification of floors, the change of windows, the renovation of interior carpentry and the complete updating of installations, allowing the house to be reconsidered from a global vision.
From the entrance, the project marks character through a composition of custom-made furniture by Kazzano, combining natural oak and white. The set is completed with a vertical mirror by Bathstage and a room divider, which filters the light into the living room and provides rhythm without losing visual lightness. The cabinets in Arios finish by Glicerio Chaves reinforce the storage capacity while maintaining a clean and tidy aesthetic.
The day area is conceived as a continuous space where living room and dining room are naturally integrated. The lighting, designed with Her Light Lovers luminaires, combines indirect light, technical spotlights and LED lines to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The La Ventana de Colores textile vertical slat curtains filter the entry of natural light and add texture to the whole.
The kitchen is designed as a semi-open space, visually connected to the living room by sash windows. The Forma Cuccine furniture, in Talco Seta ST5 finish with white rim, provides continuity and visual cleanliness, while the Fokos Terra porcelain worktop by Laminam introduces texture and resistance. The Ágata sink and Ariadna taps by Andemen, in an anthracite finish, provide contrast and functionality. The Arco Beige Natural wood effect porcelain flooring by Apavisa unifies the kitchen, dining room and entrance, reinforcing spatial continuity.
The master bedroom is designed as a serene and luminous space. We chose to lighten the atmosphere by painting the walls and woodwork in light tones, and incorporated the Jardins Suspendus Tamaris wallpaper by Casamance, which adds texture and an elegant decorative touch. The gradual white blind from La Ventana de Colores allows natural light to be regulated and reinforces the sense of calm.
The main bathroom has been redesigned to strike a balance between functionality and design. The Ivory Pure porcelain tiling by Apavisa provides luminosity, while the Kyoto furniture by Visobath in a Costa Oak finish introduces warmth. The set is completed with Flat washbasin, Hansgrohe Vernis Blend taps in matt black, Novellini shower screen, Gedy Estar Plus shower column and The Gap Square WC by Roca, maintaining a contemporary and tidy aesthetic.
The result is a coherent and luminous home, where each decision responds to functional and aesthetic criteria, creating a home designed for everyday life, balanced and timeless.
